TV Spotlight: Sarah Michelle Gellar's New Series 'Ringer' Airs Tonight

There's been a lot of buzz about Sarah Michelle Gellar's TV comeback. The former "Buffy The Vampire Slayer" actress stars in one of the CW's most anticipated new series, "Ringer."
Gellar stars as a woman who, after witnessing a murder, goes on the run. She assumes the life of her wealthy identical twin sister Siobahn - only to learn that her sister's seemingly idyllic life is just as complicated and dangerous as the one she's trying to leave behind.

The series also stars Kristoffer Polaha as Henry, Ioan Gruffudd as Andrew Martin, Nestor Carbonell as Agent Victor Machado and Tara Summers as Gemma.
The origins of the rift between the twins remains one of the biggest questions, though the picture of that child leads us to conclude Bridget's drug-fueled stripper antics somehow caused the death of Siobhan's son.
And what about that Siobhan? Quite the piece of work.

The cryptic phone call makes it appear that she might have organized the attempt on Bridget's life. Then again, if she's running from something herself, it may just be (another) case of mistaken identity. Read More

About Tata Motors

Six years after the launch of its Indigo range, Tata Motors Wednesday introduced its new generation sedan - Indigo Manza, which will take on the Hyundai Accent, the Ford Ikon, the Maruti Swift Dzire and the Mahindra Logan in the entry mid-size segment.
The ex-showroom Delhi cost of all-new version of the Indigo sedan, to become available Friday onwards, will be Rs 4.8 lakh for the base petrol model and Rs. 6.75 lakh for the top-end diesel model.
The new Indigo Manza, which has been developed on the same platform as the new generation Indica Vista, will be available countrywide through 224 dealerships and 493 outlets of Tata Motors.
Describing the new Manza as a modern, contemporary sedan, the Tata Motors' Chairman Ratan N Tata said that the car has been built on a platform which can potentially emerge as a class leader.
Energine Corporation, of Korea, claimed that it was going to deliver a hybrid compressed-air/electric car, only to see its CEO arrested for making exaggerated claims.
K’Airmobiles, a French company, were another compressed air concept, but it never saw the light of day. The company was unable to procure the necessary funding, and the engineers who worked on the project, ultimately admitted that the inherent efficiency and low-running-temperature problems made the project unfea                 sible.
In 2010, Honda showed off the Honda Air concept car, a 1,000-pound, 4-passenger car, made out of composite materials. (While the concept sounds good, in theory, I would hazard a guess that the high price of the composite materials used in this car would make it unable to compete with other alternatively-fueld vehicles.)
The TaTa Air Car concept engine was developed by Motor Development International (“MDI”), of France, with the backing of Tata. (This version of a compressed air engine has been in development for over 20 years.) Zero Pollution Motors holds a license to produce the cars in the U.S. market.Read More

Slumdog Millionare Transcending Karma

Danny Boyle’s Slumdog Millionaire has garnered a lot of critical praise, and made not a few year-end “best-of” lists. The film combines gritty realism with whimsical hope as it follows the plight of an 18-year-old Indian orphan named Jamal who’s spent his life in abject poverty, scavenging on the streets of Mumbai, experiencing the worst of the Hindi slums. Jamal inexplicably becomes a contestant on the Indian version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire and, to the dismay of authorities, reaches the final question round and becomes a folk hero.
As we follow the plight of the protagonist in Slumdog Millionaire, we get the sense that something very different than Hinduism, the primary religion of India, is at work. Apparently, this was intentional by the book’s author, Vikas Swarup. In an interview with The Hindu, Swarup says,

“I wanted my protagonist to represent each and every street kid in India. Hence I gave him this all encompassing name. Ram Mohammad Thomas, in a sense, transcends religion and caste – he is an everyman, an embodiment of the microcosm of India,” the author says.
The book had also set itself apart by refraining from using themes like Karma in it’s narrative, which are a constant fixation in many books by Indian authors.

“My hero is an eighteen year old waiter living in Asias biggest slum in Dharavi. His life perforce had to pass through the bars and ‘chawls’ of India. He would be working as a servant here, a waiter there. Hence there was no scope for any karma-dharma exotica.” (emphasis mine) Read More

Arsenal vs Swansea City Live Streaming

It’s the fourth week to the new campaign and the Arsenal fans tagged this fixture “THE SEASON BEGINS NOW”, after a miserable month of speculations in the transfer window, with the gunners losing three key players in the summer which led to poor performances and  an 8-2 humiliation at Old Trafford,  find themselves 17th in the league. They can now look forward and forget the early misfortunes in the game against Swansea City at the Emirates

ARSENAL FC: Arsenal has been awful to this point in the season. This Saturday, however, they have an opportunity to bounce themselves into the win column. The Gunners return to Emirates Stadium following an 8-2 thrashing at the hands of Manchester United in Old Trafford Stadium.
On Saturday we face newly promoted Swansea and it’s our first competitive game since the 8-2 defeat to Man United – hopefully that’s the last time I’m going to have to mention that this season, well, until we play them again – and the team need to bounce back. We’ve got 1 point from our first 9 available this season, we sit in 17th position, have seen a lot of players go out the door… BUT… have seen quite a few come through too…

Our five new recruits, Mertersacker, Santos, Arteta, Benayoun and Park may all be included in the squad for Saturday’s game – with suspensions to Gervinho and Song and injuries to Wilshere & Vermaelen. So without further ado, here’s my predicted line up for the weekend’s game.read more

Security was tight as we approached the Suez Canal, the artificial sea-level waterway in Egypt that connects the Mediterranean Sea and the Red Sea. Soldiers armed with machine guns could be seen at the top of the cliffs on both side of the road. As instructed by Akram, no pictures were allowed to be taken in this area, we were being watched.
As we approached the entrance of the tunnel under the Suez Canal, at   one of the checkpoints we were briefly stopped in which an armed guard boarded the bus and requested everyone’s passport for verification. Passport in hands, they were checked and then off we went!Read More
